I have met many hard working industrious, ethicaland truly caring people working in this industry. Unfortunately, in my opinion, those competent, and hard working individuals are in theminority. Thevast majority, in my opinion, are sloppy when it comes to doing therequired paper work to complete a sale, and they walk around with thiswhy-should-I-care-attitude.  I've heard it said, over and overagain "I listed it, let someone else sell it".  That's just one of the many things that used to bug me! This isnot the way to treat a client who has signed a contractto pay you 1000's of dollars when their home is sold. Not veryprofessional at all, but it happens all of the time in this industryand it was driving me crazy. I even encountered sales people who would try and get a listing for aslong as possible and the sit back and wait for someone else to find abuyer. These people are referred to as "LISTers", and all they want isfor you to sign a listing, and then, as far as they areconcerned...their job is done! While you and your spouse sit back andthink this sales person is out finding you a buyer.  He is really out therehunting for other listings! There are even "professional List'ers" asI like to call them because they have received their real estatelicence and they still have a full time job doing whatever they do.These people spend their weekends getting listings and receive acommission when someone else makes the sale. They are not acting inyour best interest, and looking for a buyer themselves. Over time I grew so very disgusted with the business and some of the unprofessional people involved in it,that I decided to do something else with my life that wasn't asstressful on me. And I'm glad that I did! What I am doing now allows meto continue helping my former clients and also I am helping 1000's of othersall over the world that I never would have met in my old life.
